Cambodia Leads Foreign Diplomats to Inspect Oddar Meanchey Border Situation Following Damages by Thai Army Bombs

Following the Cambodia-Thai truce, DPM H.E. Prak Sokhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, led today a delegation of ambassadors and embassy officials from 22 countries and representatives from 4 organizations in Cambodia to inspect Oddar Meanchey border areas severely damaged by Thai army bombings over the past five days.
Cambodian Foreign Minister H.E. Prak Sokhon led the delegation to inspect the location where the Thai F-16 aircraft dropped unexploded MK-84 bomb, then inspected Ta Moan Sen Chey pagoda, which was bombed by a Thai F-16 aircraft, killing a layman, injuring several civilians, and causing extensive damages. In addition, the delegation also inspected a school that was attacked by the Thai army.
The delegation inspected affected areas to assess the damage to the environment, social development, security, and the livelihoods of people living near the border.
The participation of the delegation is so crucial to engage with the Royal Government of Cambodia to monitor security issues at the border areas.
This visit demonstrates the openness of the Royal Government of Cambodia to share information and work collaboratively with the international community to maintain peace and stability in the region.
The presence of the foreign diplomat delegation to the border areas of Oddar Meanchey clearly demonstrates the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet in providing accurate information to the international community about the real situation in which Cambodia has been severely affected by the use of Thai military force and the collaboration is an evidence of openness, demonstrating a diplomatic vision based on peace, freedom, and trust in international law.
